Last week I had the great privilege of working with the staff and patients from The Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals. We had some really lovely relaxed ‘crafternoon’ sessions where everyone had the chance to make some beautiful hand held lights. I think it was safe to say that all who made these little lights were delighted that they looked just as good in the home, workplace, or also on the hospital bedside table. It was a chance to relax, forget our worries, make something rather beautiful and just to chat. A great couple of days where everyone could let their own creative light shine!!
I have recently been working as an Art Tutor for LifewithArt, running art workshops in the local community. We have had a great time making everything from lanterns, to dragonfly collages, to trinket boxes. The aim of LifewithArt is to enrich the lives of clients (which includes people with mental health, learning and physical difficulties, the elderly and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds).
